    These Shultz Pretzels look like they’re from…the early 1960s.
    Proof of Its Modernity: “Manufactured in a Facility That Uses Peanut Butter.”
    Where You’d Expect to See It: Clipped to a metal rod of snack bags behind the bar of the Sokol Club in Byram, Connecticut while attending your sister’s gymnastics practice in 1974.
    Buy It Because: Pretzels are a healthy, low fat snack.
    • It’s that gold / dark blue color scheme of the package with the bright red-orange logo that hearkens back to 1960s or thereabouts. But “The Pretzel People!” in a very modern typeface above “Shultz” plus subtly superimposed grains of wheat along the top and bottom adequately modernize its look. If you have to make some concession to the 21st century in your packaging, this is the way to do it.
